Hurricane Irma Hits Florida

Hurricane Irma Hits Florida

Hurricane Irma hit Florida as a Category 4 storm the morning of Sept. 10, ripping off roofs, flooding coastal cities, and knocking out power to more than 6 million people. By Sept. 11, Irma weakened significantly to a tropical storm as it powered north toward Georgia and Alabama. At 11 p.m. later that day, it weakened further to a tropical depression, and by Sept. 13, it had dissipated over western Tennessee. SERVPRO of Greenville/Cleveland sent a crew out to Florida to help assist in the clean up of Hurricane Irma's path.

New Employee Training

Owner Michael Miller goes over ECTP Training with new employees Brett Jordan and Kurtis Morton.

Employee Certification Training Program (ECTP) is a training system designed to help SERVPRO® Franchises train their employees to provide superior service. In a service business, trained employees make the difference between success and failure. Trained employees perform better, are more competent, and decrease customer complaints.

This program provides a practical and effective method for employee training. Involvement in ECTP will improve employee skills and provide an opportunity for employee recognition. It is the goal of ECTP to help you develop the highest quality front line employees in the industry.

There are four sections to the Employee Certification Training Program.  They include Crew Training, Water Restoration, Fire Restoration, and Carpet and Upholstery.
